KNITTERS / SEWERS / CRAFTERS FRIDAYS 1:00-3:00 PM IN THE KITCHEN ROOM
BRING YOUR SKILLS OR LACK OF THEM AND JOIN THIS GROUP OF LADIES. (always looking for projects to help out others. We have made blankets for soldiers and nursing home residents, chemo hats for cancer treatment centers to give to those undergoing chemotherapy, knitted baby hats and booties for babies in Central America. Our ongoing project is working with the Immokalee Early Childhood Center to deliver things that they need for children. For example we have made aprons for their art projects, blanket covers for the cots they use at nap time. The group just completed vests and capes used for play time activities. We are always looking for new ideas, if you have one please share. The group uses donations of material, yarn, thread, anything that could be used is connection with a craft project.)
